Program overview:
ACCPA has partnered with Crazy Might Work to deliver a strategic innovation program designed for aged care and community boards and executives.
This industry-focussed two-day face-to-face program, invites senior leaders and executives to work together on strategic challenges that are significant for their organisations and require innovative thinking e.g. responding to compliance changes; recruitment of clinical staff and new business models. The program will allow you to build your sector network, collaborating in syndicates with other senior leaders on areas of shared interest.
You will emerge from the program having:
- Enhanced your sector network, forging new executive and board level connections
- Made significant progress on a critical element of your current strategy
- Developed an implementation-ready pilot solution for testing
- Acquired world-leading strategic innovation skills
- Crafted a compelling narrative to support it
Outcomes of the program:
As part of ACCPA’s InnovAGEING initiative, this program has been designed to equip and future proof senior leaders with strategic innovation skills.
At the same time, it will connect you with a network of like-minded leaders who are as ambitious and committed to change as you are.
You will meet other sector thought leaders and have the opportunity to work together in syndicates of 4-6 on an area of shared strategic interest.
With periodic check-ins and presentations to and from the larger group, you will have access to live feedback from your peers and our innovation experts, with the opportunity to pitch a pilot concept on the final day.
You will take the amended pilot canvas back to your leadership team in implementation-ready form and be able make immediate progress on an aspect of your current strategy.
This is not two days ‘out’ of your business, it is two days of immersive, intense collaboration and skills acquisition to produce a strategic innovation that truly matters for your organisation.
The program is grounded in the absolute latest cognitive and social neuroscience and covers the strategic innovation essentials of:
- Systems Thinking: Mapping the strategic context and selecting the most powerful levers for innovation.
- Appreciative Inquiry: Using this approach to reframe your strategic challenge and generate fresh insights.
- Analogous Inquiry: Looking outside of industry for inspiration to find transferrable step-change ideas.
- Design Thinking: ‘Building to think’ with advanced prototyping techniques, matched to your challenge area.
- Value Proposition Design: Going beyond the obvious to consider social and emotional ‘jobs-to-be-done’.
- Strategic Storytelling: The history, art and neuroscience of influence required to craft a compelling narrative.
- Pilot Design: Using the Pilot Design Canvas to create a scientifically sound ‘in vivo’ test of your innovation.
- Embedding: Applying contemporary social and cognitive neuroscience to embed change as a collective habit.
