Trauma Informed Care

Workshop overview:

Many people experience trauma of varying types throughout their lives, whether in the past or more recently. A trauma response can be triggered by a specific incident, or a prolonged and repeated event, and may be re-ignited by experiencing a health crisis, being abused, neglected and/or injured, a loss of loved one, and/or change in life circumstances, grief and/or the onset of dementia.

The Trauma-Informed Care workshop is specifically tailored to empower the CHSP / Home Care Workforce to understand the impact of trauma and deliver care that is culturally safe, trauma aware and healing informed.
